Hannah's principal sends out a weekly email newsletter. Today I was reading the section of the newsletter where kids submit their questions to the principal and he randomly chooses some and answers them. It's called "Inquiring minds want to know."

The first question was "Why can't we bring our mom's iPhone to school?"
Submitted by Hannah, Ms Stinson's first grade class.

The principal appropriately answered "I I don't have a problem with it - but I am pretty sure you should get your mom's permission first."

Won my 2nd match in 2 days today. So grateful that tennis is a part of my life!

Today Hannah asked me why I was crying last night. I told her it was because I used to have a lot of back pain and now I am having it again. I told her I was scared I am going to have it for the rest of my life. She simply said "It's okay, Mommy. I don't think you are at all. It's going to get better." She said it with such an ominous voice that I think I almost believe her.

Tonight Mike, Hannah and I all found Chuck E Cheese tokens and tickets under out pillows. I can't imagine who put them there... Except one sweet blonde haired little cutie!

March 25

Today I took Hannah and some of her friends to the movies and the to get ice cream after. This was her "birthday party" since we took the big American Girl trip a few months ago. Pictured left to right: Ava (a classmate), Nikyan (a classmate), sweet Hannah, Morgan and Kate. Lots of fun, junk food and friends. Who could ask for more?!

March 24

Reagan and Morgan slept over tonight. Rea and I had good girl time. We watched footloose and had a great day together. I love that she is in my life and I hope our relationship is as special to her as it is to me.

March 23

The guys went to VA this weekend - so we had some girl time relaxing with Jill and the kids. Austin got to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa and he is going to have a wonderful weekend in VA. He called me at 9:45 tonight with big tears and told me he missed me. It was the sweetest thing I have ever heard. I love that boy and I know there will come a day when he doesn't miss me so much. For now I am soaking it all up!

March 22

Big day today! My baby girl is 7! We tried to make it as special as possible - everything from decorating her door and mirror to taking cookies for her class to help her celebrate today. We had a great taco dinner and the Thomas crew joined us for the party.

Hannah has turned into such a sweet, kind, funny and amazing little girl. I recently leaned from her teacher that Hannah voluntarily helps one of her classmates who is autistic and needs "a buddy." She does things like help him get to the right bus and she sits with him at lunch. In Hannah's words "He just needs a little extra help sometimes, mom. He is funny and I like to help him."

I can't tell you how proud I am of this little girl. She genuinely has compassion and wants to help others. That is something we can't necessarily teach her - I think she just wants to do good.

March 21

Austin, Mike, Jill and I decorated the spirit rock at Hannah's school tonight while she was at youth club! It is so her!!!

March 20

Daddy is 34 today!! We made him a cake - personally decorated by the kids. And he requested his favorite dinner - his grandma's recipe for sloppy joes and sweet potato fries. All in all, I think he had a great day. He definitely deserves it!

Silly string fest and rice crispy treats for Mike at soccer practice tonight. Ringing in his birthday a day early!

Hannah just came over to kiss me goodnight and said "I love you with a thousand exclamation marks!"

Mike ran in the highland creek 5k today and beat his personal record by over three minutes. I was so proud of him! Jill and I took the kids to cheer the guys on an I love how my kids get to see us being an active family who exercises. Hannah even did the fun run one mike and ran the entire time. She did the mile in 7 minutes!!

I love how Austin makes every past tense word have the " -ded " sound at the end.
"I dided that." (I did that)
"I runnded fast" (I ran fast)
"I drinkded all my drink" (I drank all my drink)
"I ateded my food" (I ate my food)

I don't have the heart to correct him. It is so stinking cute!

March 15

This morning my sweet girl came running upstairs with a big toothless grin on her face and a little bitty tooth in her hand. She said it fell out while she was eating her Cheerios. I can't believe how fast she is growing up.

March 14

I think today just may be the last day that my baby girl has all of her baby teeth. She has an extremely loose bottom tooth that is very likely gonna come out any day now. I had to snap a quick picture of her tonight - knowing this could be the last photo I have of her before she loses her first one!

My kids are downstairs right now "building something" out of Legos with their daddy. I LOVE to hear them all playing. They have a GREAT daddy.

Austin tried an apple chip today!! And he tried a carrot yesterday! He didn't really like either one of them - but he TRIED them!!! I was so proud of him!

March 11

Today my kids played outside from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm. They played and played and played. Then even took their lunches outside. I can't express the joy I have when I see them together outside, giggling and playing with each other and their friends.

Hannah came running in from outside in a fury. She sat down, started rubbing her legs up and said "Man, I need some longer pants on!! These precious legs are getting cold!!"

I was upstairs by myself for 5 minutes today when Austin came frantically running upstairs. "Mommy!! I couldn't find you! I needed to find you!!" I asked him "Why? What's wrong, buddy?" He quietly replied "Because I need to know where you are because I love you so much!"

I played tennis today - and lost in 3 sets. I would love to win every match - but I am really focusing on how incredibly lucky I am to be able to play tennis at all. I am so grateful that I have the time, the money and a husband who supports my love of this sport.

Looked at a house in Highland Creek today. I can't believe we are considering staying in the neighborhood. Although it is a really big stretch to think we may stay here. I want everyone to be happy - and I am so scared it may not work out that way!!

Austin brought me this note this morning. Apparently Hannah has taken the passive route to get what she wants. Too bad her brother can't read, though!!

The daddy daughter dance was tonight and my baby girl was absolutely beautiful! And look at that hair!!

Hannah went back to the doctor today for (hopefully) her last follow-up. She is still not 100%, but definitely doing better. She has had a horrible week, but I think she is finally on the mend. This was way too much sickness for one little body to handle.

I love my little guy and how he snuggles into me like a cat and even purring like one too. One day he said "Mommy, do you know why I do this all the time?" I said "No why, buddy?" He shouted "It's cause I LOVE you!!"
