He loves his buddy, Owen so much! Why wouldn't he? Owen will play with Austin for hours and hours. I am so happy Austin has him in his life!

Mike and the kids went to the lot today to cut down a few trees. They stopped and had ice cream after. They all had a blast. Hearing the kids' excitement over the lot helps ease my anxieties a little about this next chapter in our lives. They already have three trees picked out to build the treehouse in. From the very beginning this has been something they have talked about all the time. I think Mike is going to build the treehouse sooner rather than later. I mean, what kid doesn't want a treehouse?! I am so happy they are enjoying this adventure!

Hannah went to a birthday sleepover party at a soccer friend's house tonight. She was worried about not knowing anyone and was also worried about taking blankie. She said she would be embarrassed if anyone saw it. I would give anything to take her worries away. She is such a special girl and I hate that she has any worries at all. On the bright side though, she for a kick out of hearing about how I yolk blankie to college and even on my honeymoon!

Today I am simply grateful for my children's infectious laughter. It's like music to my ears.

I was laying in bed with Hannah tonight with what has come to be known as "mommy/Hannah time" and I told her that I am one lucky lady. She said - "No, momma, I am the luckiest girl in the world because you are my momma." Well, she certainly helped drive my point home!! I love that girl!

Just a regular day. Full of school, lunch with Jill, errands, a quick game of UNO with my buddy, youth club for Hannah - all in all a busy, normal, great day. What a great life I live!

Austin wanted me to write a letter for him to copy for his daddy. He worked on it for over an hour. He's a determined little boy!!

I mean - does it get much sweeter than this? How about when he asks me to bring my phone in from the other room to take a picture because he knows how stinking cute he is!

Went to the Brad Paisley concert tonight with Reagan and Jill. It was so nice to have a night out with my BFF!

I told Hannah I would read a book to her tonight and as she was looking for the book, I yawned and said "Man, Hannah I am TIRED!" she simply replied "well, too bad, cause I am not and we have some reading to do!" Well, alrighty then sassy pants!!

The sound of our son playing cars for hours on end is like music to my ears. The mess he leaves behind - not so much. But it's all worth it!! Love him and his creative little mind so much!!!

Hannah and I had a dance party in the kitchen tonight while I was making dinner. I love turning the music up loud and be crazy with my girl!

Grandpa has been visiting us for a few days and every day at 4:00 p.m., we all
hang out in the garage and throw the ball with Rusty. It's been great having him here - and Hannah has had someone to hang out with while she is bound to the chair because of her knee brace!

Today I am grateful for my life. For my family. For my house. For my health. For so very many things. I am so sorry for the loss of the lives on September 11th. It makes me grateful for all that I have. And sad for all that they lost.

My little buddy went to the dentist for the first time today. He did GREAT! He didn't like the "picture taking," also known as x-rays. Other than that he didn't get upset at all and really did amazing! I am so proud of him!

September 9

We took Hannah to the orthopedic urgent care today for her knee. Turns out she has a type 1 growth plate fracture. She is in a full leg brace and goes to the pediatric orthopedic on Friday. Honestly - she is the toughest kid I have ever met. The only reason we took her today was because she was limping so much at soccer. She never complained. I hope she is okay and that there isn't permanent damage since we didn't take her in sooner.

I went to dinner with Maria tonight and was reminded how nice it is to be out and about with friends. Practically all we talked about was our kids - but that's half the fun. They are our lives and even when we are away - they are always on our mind!!

Look at my baby girl's beautiful artwork!! She LOVES, LOVES, LOVES dogs!

Austin made a card for his sister today at school. He was so proud of it and had it waiting for her when she walked in the door. She immediately hung it on her door. Love them!

Austin loves to ride the big wheel to the bus stop every morning. Who area if he is in his PJs!!!! I say it makes him that much cuter!

September 4

And he's off to his last year of preschool. Needless to say - he's pumped about it. He got himself dressed and his teeth brushed before I was even out of bed this morning. He asked if he could walk to the door of the school by himself. He asked if he could wait on the front steps for his carpool ride all by himself. Ummm.... No and No, big boy. Momma's not ready to let go quite yet! As I said to your sister - SLOW DOWN!

Today, I am grateful for a wonderful brother. I received this text from him in reference to spending time with mom, dad and me last night:

"Last night was the hi light of 2012 for me sharing a room with you and mom and pops. Everything about it was good. I can't put into words how great it was and how I am so in awe of you for the mother you are and for the kids I would die for to keep living. You did good sis. Mom and dad as well. I am beaming with pride to be your brother. Mike is first class and I love you guys"

Happy Labor Day! We enjoyed a great cookout today at Mimi and Papa's house (well everyone except Hannah - because she was sick with a stomach bug!)

Heading to VA for a three day Labor Day weekend. So glad Greg and Kier changed plans to make a visit in to see us!! Been too long since we have seen our favorite aunt and uncle!!
